This session centres around the Dream chapter of Safekeeping. Writers will explore their intentions, personal definitions of success, and ideal creative experiences. Participants will write a letter to their book project, using the prompts to dream about what their work can become. The session will encourage them to set bold intentions and reflect on how self-compassion and honesty can fuel the creative process.

Activities: Guided visualization, writing exercises, and group discussions about envisioning success on their own terms.

Friday January 24, 2025 | 11am PST - 12pm PST


Building on the Discover chapter of Safekeeping, this session will help writers get to and understand the heart of their projects by identifying their “why” and their book’s core action. Participants will explore their authentic voices and use writing prompts to why they write and how to use this information to make more powerful decisions.

Activities: Freewriting around the “why” of their project, sharing the emotional and action-based pillars of their story, and reflective exercises about voice and intention.

Friday January 31, 2025 | 11am PST - 12pm PST


This session taps into the Learn chapter of Safekeeping, focusing on routines, energy management, and saying no with love. Participants will explore how to thrive as writers through healthy creative habits and learning to set boundaries. The discussion will also touch on growth tracking and letting go of limiting beliefs that hold them back.

Activities: Group reflection on setting realistic expectations, an energy-management worksheet, and guided writing prompts on growth and self-discovery.

Friday February 7, 2025 | 11am PST - 12pm PST


Using the Balance chapter of Safekeeping, this session will explore the challenges that arise during the creative process. Writers will focus on managing their negative emotions, micro-mistakes, and unhealthy habits. The session will also introduce mindfulness as a tool to help them balance their emotions while sharing their work with others.

Activities: Mindful breathing exercises, reflective writing, and group discussions on how to cultivate balance between vulnerability and resilience in their writing.

Friday February 14, 2025 | 11am PST - 12pm PST


Centered around the Create chapter of Safekeeping, this session will empower writers to develop the non-negotiables for their book, create a personal formula for feedback, and how to use both for powerful decision-making. Participants will also reflect on their boundaries from session three.

Activities: Building a feedback strategy, and group reflection on the importance of non-negotiables in shaping a meaningful writing experience.
